NEWS: Music Videos On Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless announced the availability of full-length music video downloads as part of their new V Cast service. This is the first music video download store available to US customers on either the Web or through mobile technology.

Subscribers to Verizon Wireless' V Cast service ($15 a month) will be able to download music videos from Warner Music Group artists for $3.99 each. Videos will initially be available from Sean Paul, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Crime Mob, Simple Plan and Story Of The Year.

V Cast is Verizon's version of 3G, which is shorthand for new third generation mobile phone technology that allows users access to video content, games and much more. V Cast is powered by Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video. The service is only available on select phones, such as the LG VX8000 and the Samsung a890.

Mike Piscitelli directed a performance video for Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante. "The Past Recedes" was shot at Frusciante's house. The clip support's Frusciante's new solo CD, Curtains.

NEWS: UK Video Poll Honors Johnny Cash "Hurt"

UK mobile phone company 3 assembled a group of music celebrities to determine the top 20 music videos of all time. According to a BBC News report, the top five videos were:

Johnny Cash "Hurt" Michael Jackson "Thriller" Aphex Twin "Come To Daddy" Radiohead "Just" Michael Jackson "Billie Jean"
