Canada Talks About Phoenix "Trying To Be Cool" and Their Other Videos

F*ck it. We'll do it live.

So it was in the amazing Phoenix video "Trying To Be Cool," directed by CANADA, where both the band and the production team do it entirely live: The band plays live and the crew captures each shot without any breaks.

And interspersed throughout is a lengthy interview with Canada principals Nicholas Mendez and Oscar Romagosa who talk about this video — did you know that it was illegal for them to shoot with a chimpanee? — and some of the other work, including their progression from the vignettes in El Guincho "Bombay" to the narrative of Justice "New Lands" and the retro TV performance for Two Door Cinema Club "What You Know" and beyond.
