Coodie And Chike On Kanye West & Other Videos [via ESPN]

Directing duo Coodie & Chike are what you could call real rap directors: No cars, no bling, no booty: Just gritty creativity and reality matched to music that fit the same bill.

ESPN extend their relationship with the directors — they previously collaborated on the network's 30-For-30 film Benji, about a teenage basketball prodigy whose life got cut far too short — and got them to discuss some of their best videos, including "Through The Wire," which was the debut vdeo for both Kanye West, Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozay. Not a bad start, right?

Worth a read, especially if you're looking to ride that creative DIY hip-hop wave...
