Leading nominee Beyonce is guaranteed one award at the 2014 MTV VMAs: She'll accept the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, joining the ranks of past recipients Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
Beyonce has a long VMA history, including her 2011 baby bump premiere, and an impressive videography, especially including her self-titled visual album from last year.
The MTV VMAs will broadcast LIVE from The Forum in Inglewood, CA on Sunday, August 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Confirmed performers include Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5.
