NEW RELEASE: New Pornogrpahers "Challengers"

Love is a powerful force in this new New Pornographers video by director Darren Pasemko, formerly of the creative collective Fluorescent Hill. Love makes a ghost into a real person. It turns grayscale into lurid, vibrant colors. It heats things up to the point where everything melts, be it the paint on the wall or the hand entwined with your lover's. Use protection, kids. Love's a dangerous thing. --> watch "Challengers" in Quicktime or at YouTube

NEW RELEASE: So Called "You Are Never Alone"

The quest for understanding our place in the universe is, well, um, universal. But the path of that journey rarely takes the theatrical twists and Rube Goldbergian turns of this video for So Called. Director Benjamin Steiger Levine creates a striking melange of Asimov robotics, Gondry presentational-ism and Magritte surreality that is undeniably odd and charming at the same time. The cranial-opening antics of the lead character are un-nerving at first, but once sucked into the journey, the viewer is propelled into the timelessness and beauty of the voyage towards heaven that lies within us all. NEW RELEASE: Pinback "From Nothing To Nowhere"

Remember when music videos were more music than video? Indie rockers Pinback had a taste for that old school pure performance flavor when they tapped sci-fi savvy Joshua Nichols to helm "From Nothing To Nowhere." In his music video directorial debut, Nichols takes us to the lunar surface of a dry lake bed in the remote reaches of El Mirage, CA. Here the band cranks out its surreal sounds beneath a mesmerizing Northern
Lights display. The sweeping visuals add a cosmic connection that blends seamlessly as the riff builds to its mystical crescendos. (review by Ced Esters) --> Go "From Nothing To Nowhere"
