American Killers "Big City" (Adam Avilla, dir.)

"Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets..."

This is the debut music video for the debut album by the American Killers animated soley by director Adam Avilla.

The video follows a renegade cop, forced into retirement who is on a mission of justice on the streets of Neo San Francisco. He is joined by a stripper vigilante who is on a similar mission of revenge for the death of her girlfriend at the hands of a "trumpian" mayor who holds power over the city with his gang of thugs.

Toxic Holocaust "Acid Fuzz" (Adam Avilla, dir.)

I approached Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust to do a music video and it lined up perfectly with his new album "Chemistry of Consciousness." The concept was, "Something demented and evil." So I ran with that.

The animation is all hand drawn and animated frame by frame. I used after effects for some inbetweening, for the slower shots and for overall compositing. I went through several reams of animation paper which is pretty intimidating and worked from about 9am to 4am every day for 2 1/2 months.

Thao & The Get Down "Holy Roller" (Mimi Cave, dir.)

THAO & THE GET DOWN STAY DOWN - Holy Roller - Official Video

You realize things won't be exactly as they seem from the first line of this fun video, but director Mimi Cave proceeds to really mix things up via some digital cut-outs. Enjoy.

And no, that girl doesn't really have man hands.
