WATCH IT: Eminem "We Made You"

The moment you see Eminem in a wiggy Bret Michaels Rock of Love guise, you realize you're in for some vintage snark from the returning rap star. Unleashing more video and pop culture parodies in one video than Weird Al has in over a decade, Eminem and director Joseph Kahn lampoon everything from a sloppy Jessica Simpson and a horny Sarah Palin to an even sloppier Amy Winehouse. Throw in a few movie homages — the Rain Man sketch is by far the most inspired, with Dr. Dre as cool Charlie Babbit and Em as his card-counting, autistic genius brother — plus some music video and TV spoofs and you have one of the more elaborate music videos in quite some time. WATCH IT: Ciara f/ Justin Timberlake "Love Sex Magic"

Justin Timberlake may have a prominent guest-starring role in this video for "Magic," but the sexyback unequivocally belongs to Ciara here. The r&b songstress finds her inner Sasha Fierce, writhing and bumping as Timberlake's private dancer. Lest you think she's just bumping and cavorting for his benefit, fear not: She also displays her flexibility in a series of set-ups, including an especially notable one with multi-colored duplicates of herself. WATCH IT: Game "Camera Phone"

Some music video directors, like Hype Williams, have become stars larger than the artists they are promoting. Others are famous enough as performers (like Fred Durst, at one point) that when they try their hands at directing it lends a little shine to a new artist. For Game’s new single "Camera Phone," actor/director Kevin Connolly (aka E on HBO’s hit Entourage) isn’t required to bring attention to an unknown performer, but rather capture a slick and charismatic performance from Game and guest vocalist Ne-Yo. Connolly does a more that serviceable job, and has clearly had practice dealing with the media frenzy and the Hollywood life. The finished video is a polished clip but, unfortunately, does not deliver the expected Jeremy Piven cameo (with or without tainted sushi). [review by Doug Stern] --> watch "Camera Phone"

WATCH IT: N.E.R.D. "Sooner Or Later"

Wanna know the story of 2008? Look no further than N.E.R.D. and their bookending clips from this rollercoaster year. They started the year with"Everyone Nose," a celebration of [what is now literally] Last Nights Party life, with sexed-up girls, easy drugs and a variety of opulent, yet dirty accouterments. But, now it's all crashing down and those days are over. The new video for "Sooner Or Later" reflects that free fall, showcasing Pharrell Williams and his fellow N.E.R.D.s sweeping up all that now worthless paper from the floor of a stock exchange.
