NEW RELEASE: Pinback "From Nothing To Nowhere"

Remember when music videos were more music than video? Indie rockers Pinback had a taste for that old school pure performance flavor when they tapped sci-fi savvy Joshua Nichols to helm "From Nothing To Nowhere." In his music video directorial debut, Nichols takes us to the lunar surface of a dry lake bed in the remote reaches of El Mirage, CA. Here the band cranks out its surreal sounds beneath a mesmerizing Northern
Lights display. The sweeping visuals add a cosmic connection that blends seamlessly as the riff builds to its mystical crescendos. (review by Ced Esters) --> Go "From Nothing To Nowhere"

Description: "Strangely beautiful" is a good way to describe everything about CocoRosie and their video for "Noah's Ark." 1: The sisters of CocoRosie have voices that fall somewhere between Bille Holiday and the Cryptkeeper. 2: The song sounds a little like a dusty antique 78 RPM record that was found in a Parisian attic, but remixed by a cutting edge trip-hop producer. 3. The video is a steady stream of hallucinatory and dazzling visual effects. Lights dance about the screen like raindrops upon the pavement.
Watercolor rainbows and clouds hover over a playground. Neon skulls and
stars dot the sky, while blinking lights form faces, giraffes and other images. There's also a carousel and a floating shoe that's slowly headed for a waterfall and much much much more. Check out the dreamlike clip, courtesy of their label Touch & Go.

NEW RELEASE: Supersystem "Born Into The World"
Supersystem "Born Into The World" Touch & Go
Ramone Blumberg, director
Description: The band formerly known as El Guapo deliver a video that is equal parts mundane and spellbinding. The first half of the clip shows the band members waking up and going about their morning rituals while Justin Destroyer sings to the camera. Suddenly, he literally sees the light and the video changes to a cut-out style in which the blue-hued band members perform against a cracked grey background, tall buildings and snow capped mountains. Before and after pictures appear below.
