Mumford & Sons "Hopeless Wanderer" (Sam Jones, dir.)

Mumford & Sons - Hopeless Wanderer

Mumford & Sons have at times been criticized as Instagram-filtered nostalgists who dress like docents at some Dust Bowl history center, but this latest clip from director Sam Jones steers the band straight into that skid and out the other side to the land of laughs. Instead of the band we see Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms and Will Forte (MacGruber!) in the land of dusty boots and multiple banjo solos. Warning: accordion smashing and tear tasting might not be suitable for all audiences

Doug Stern also writes music video treatments and makes his own artisanal moonshine.

Now the question is: when will the real M&S do a parody of those SNL skits of the group of guys in a bar telling outrageous stories while singing soft-rock chorus standards? Addendum: how long before Winston adopts the smoking banjo the way Ace Frehley did his guitar in the Kiss heyday?
