Vh1.com has a special feature up today with embeds of the first 30 videos ever played on MTV... As you could guess, there's some forgotten gems in there — Ph.D "Little Susie's On The Up" is a certain kind of genius — some classics, and some schlock. I'll leave it to you to decide which is which.

Now, if only they had the host-breaks so we could marvel at the glory of those original VJs...
