COMMENTARY: Manchester Orchestra "Shake It Out"w/ director Isaac Rentz

Manchester Orchestra

Commentaries. We used to do these all the time on videostatic.com, back when uploading a video was actually somewhat difficult. Now it's easy, so we're bringing it back. Bigger. Better. Maybe even more frequently.

Director Isaac Rentz uses the Manchester Orchestra video "Shake It Out" to pay homage to what is surely the greatest arm-wrestling trucker flick, the 1987 classic, Over The Top, starring Sylvester Stallone. Rentz breaks down the inspiration behind the video, shares some trade secrets, and helps describe how to walk that fine line of making something very serious out of downright ludicrous source material. Rentz is joined by a special guest on the commentary — no, not Sly Stallone, but fellow director Keith Schofield.

"Shake It Out" is the latest single/video off Manchester Orchestra's latest album, Mean Everything To Nothing. It kicks ass. They kick ass. Check em out at TheManchesterOrchestra.com. Also Also: Special thanks to all who helped make this happen, plus AbsolutePunk.net who premiered the commentary. --> watch "Shake It Out" (commentary version)
