Portugal. The Man "Modern Jesus" (Elliott Sellers, dir.)

Director Elliott Sellers delivers a nicely shot and constructed performance video for "Modern Jesus" — which perhaps works as a nice match to the previous video for the song directed by AG Rojas, which was highly conceptural (and amazing). The setting instanly signifies Church, but there's also something about the video/song which brings to mind "Wonderwall" (maybe it's the glasses?) who were bigger than The Beatles and in turn bigger than Jesus. (I kid, of course)

All About She "Higher" (James Barber, dir.)

James Barber delivers this stunning documentary style video for hot new production outfit All About She (Atlantic). Shot over two days in Brooklyn and Harlem, the two main actors are both dancers in real life – but are from very different backgrounds – the narrative captures their story using their real backgrounds and families as context in a brilliantly considered and engaging fashion. Panic! at the Disco "Girls/Girls/Boys" (D Jay Brawner, dir.)

Right there on the YouTube page, singer Brendon Urie celebrates that the inspiration for his latest torso-baring clip for Panic! at the Disco is everyone's favorite D'Angelo video. Director D Jay Brawner makes sure to give the fans everything (or alllmost everything) they want from this sexy one-taker, assuming the fans don't really want to look at anyone else in the band.

Wale f/ Nicki Minaj & Juicy J "Clappers" (Benny Boom, dir.)

Maybe you remember the Bubba Sparxxx "Ms. New Booty" video that began with a faux infomercial for booty padding? Well, that absurdity is now basically a reality — thank you, lovemybubbles.com — and Twerkin' is a household word thanks to Miley Cyrus. But, much like U2 stole that song back from Charlie Manson, Wale is stealing the ass-clap back with some help from Juicy J and Nicki Minaj. The video features lots of booty, but keeps it fun and fairly tame — we're much closer to "Thong Song" than the heart of darkness that is "Tip Drill".

My only complain? It should be 3-D.
