Kanye West

Kanye West "I Am God" [unofficial] (Sequoia B., dir.)

As an artist, there is extreme freedom in creating, even when there is no solicitation to do so. Playing around with Cinemagraphs or Stills in Motion became a very intriging way to bring the human subject to life. All of the images of Kanye West are actual still photographs. Naturally, being a video director, the process kept growing and growing from one edit to the next, and when all was said and done, this is what came to be. *Watch in HD. This is a non-commisioned project.

Kanye West "Black Skinhead" Video

UPDATE: Kanye has tweeted a few things about the video:

1. "The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version." [link]

2. "Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens." [link]

3. "The final version will be ready within the next week." [link]

4. "So any website that may have the unapproved / unfinished ruff. I ask you to please take it down." [link]

I think we can wait another week for something great, right? Especially when Yeezus says "Please"...

Kanye West's Yeezus x American Psycho Short w/ Scott Disick & Jonathan Cheban

Kanye West - American Psycho Short Film (Yeezus Promo) (HD)

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this American Psycho remake in which Kardashian henchmen Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban play the roles of Patrick Bateman and Paul Allen, and Yeezus plays the part of Huey Lewis & The News Fore. Is it a cheeky comment on his own music? A riff on the characters that Disick and Cheban plays on Keeping Up With The Kardashians?

Kanye West "New Slaves" Worldwide Projection

Kanye West - New Slaves (Premiere) HD

Kanye is everywhere. Or, at least he was in 66 places last night as his disembodied head was projected against buildings in 10 worldwide cities to debut new song "New Slaves." Locations were announced at the last minute and people flocked to each digital shrine, recording and amplifying the message. Smart.

Consider the song's refrain — "You see it's leaders and it's followers" — and realize that last night was a damn smart embodiment for Dear Leader Kanye.

PS: His new album is reportedly called Yeezus.

Bow down.
