Can you make a complete music video in 48 hours? That was the challenge posed to directing duo Nautico, whose concept was chosen by Five Knives at last month's LAMVF for a near impossible task — get commissioned to do a video on Wednesday night, with a firm premiere screening that Saturday night (wait, isn't that 72 hours?) and with a prize (budget?) of just $2,500.
Considering all this, this video is more ambitious than you'd expect, centered around the creation of a mobile sound system that's like a lo-fi Road Warrior version of the Deathmobile. Otherwise, Nautico turns the necessary run-n-gun style into a guerilla style choice with hand-held video cams and video distortions.
