Taken from Neon Choir's debut album ''ELK. Neon Choir is a female-fronted four-piece band that blends folk, country, rock, pop and electronica. Formed in 2003 by lead singer Amy Sutton and guitarist Matthew Moult, the band has since made the journey from Durban, South Africa, to its current London home, acquiring along the way the talents of bassist Stuart and drummer Catherine. This accomplished and experienced bunch have played venues all over London, including Scala, Proud Galleries, The Garage and the O2 Academy in Islington, and in 2009 they were the main support on the Women’s Stage at London Pride. The band was also nominated for Best New UK Act at the 2009 Balcony TV Awards in Dublin. In 2010 the band played Die Niewe Anita in Amsterdam and the main stage at GoGo Festival, among other London shows, including support slots for Husky Rescue and Gabrielle Aplin at the O2 in Islington.
