WATCH IT: Pearl Jam "Unknown Thought" (Wes C. Addle, dir.)

35mm? Multi-cam HD? Hell no. Pearl Jam don't even bust out a Flip cam for this live concert video, reportedly opting instead for a Laptop with a built-in camera. No cuts, no nothing: Just an up-close look at Pearl Jam captivating a crowd of Berliners who get some camera time when the "camera" operator whips around in a 360 move that would make the average Steadicam pro weep. A good idea — whipped up by Bernard Shakey aka Neil Young — that certainly fits the band's notorious video ethos while being more captivating than you'd expect. --> watch "Unknown Thought"

WATCH IT: Kid Cudi, Rostam, Best Coast "All Summer" (Psyop, dir.)

The literally big headed trio of Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij and Best Coast singer Bethany Cosentino extol the virtues of Summer by staying indoors at a cluttered hipster loft. An odd choice perhaps — though not as odd as the giant head masks each performer wears — but being that the video is for clothing/sneaker brand Converse and not for Ray Bans, there's really no need to wander out into the bright rays that pour through the windows. --> watch "All Summer" and download the track courtesy of Converse.com
