WATCH IT: White Lies "Holy Ghost" (Canada, dir.)

Considering that creative team Canada have firmly established themselves as connossiers (aka pervs) of the female form over the course of their brief body of work, it's only fitting that they take a song about choosing flesh over faith as chance to go take their fixations to something more epic. Using book chapters to buoy the progressive structure of the clip, Canada cut from children playing to a body at rest and then bodies diving to a massive battlescene and onto a Houses Of The Holy rocky mount, before finally settling gorgous nature scenes that overwhelm everything that came before it. Nature over Nudity? Hopefully not. --> watch "Holy Ghost"

WATCH IT: Calvin Harris "Bounce" (Vincent Haycock + AG Rojas, dir.)

This day in the life of a hipster screw-up is much more beautiful than it has any right to be. Lost in the music after getting dumped by his girl, our manic hero skitters across Las Vegas, bouncing from one experience and emotion to another, running the gamut from love to hate to sex and absolute abandon and onward to the final crash . (Kind of NSFW toward the end, but so it goes) --> watch "Bounce"

WATCH IT: Katy Perry "Last Friday Night" (Marc Klasfeld, dir.)

The spirit of John Hughes is strong here, from Katy Perry as the dorkiest teen since Joan Cusack's turn as "Geek Girl #1" in Sixteen Candles — jeez, even Katy's video character gets a name — to the overall set-up of a good girl throwing a party that goes out of control. Cameos pile up quick: Rebecca "It's Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down On Friday" Black, "Uncle" Kenny G, Corey Feldman, Debbie Gibson and even Hanson as the house band. If only Gedde "Long Duk Dong" Watanabe had been available... --> watch "Last Friday Night (TGIF)"
