Spookyland "The Silly F*cking Thing" (Rory Pearson, dir.)

The video revolves around a scene most of us are all too familiar with, the cycle of love/heartbreak/further analysis/self-improvement/hope and then fucking despair all over again. Rory Pearson lent his creative mind to the clip, eloquently capturing both the instrumentally and emotionally moving aspects of Spooky’s work. The clip stars a raccoon eyed Marcus Gordon, a symbolically colourful bowl froot loops and up and coming local actors Rahel Abdulrahman and Brielle Flynn.

 

2014 Much Music Award Nominations

How can you not be excited for the 2014 Much Music VIdeo Awards with the Kardashian Junor League — Kylie Jenner and sister Kendall "I'm the worst reader" Jenner — hosting the annual Canadian awards show?

Canadian artists Drake and Hedley lead all nominees with six nods apiece, with SonReal just behind with five nominations. Confirmed performers include Imagine Dragons and Lorde.

Those in Canada can tune into Much Music Sunday, June 15 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with a simulcast on Much, CTV, and CTV GO. No American distributor has been announced.

Man Is Not A Bird "The Sounds of Spring" (Julien Zenier, dir.)

To celebrate the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to finance their studio album, the French post-rock / math rock band "Man is not a Bird" releases its first music video, "The Sounds Of Spring".

Directed by Julien Zenier, the video shows the band performing in a hangar and explores the sensory aspects of music, merging live performance with elegant motion graphics.
