NEW RELEASE: Cool Kids "Black Mags"

Cool Kids Mags Cool Kids AKA "Goin Back To Chi-Town" (see the LL Cool J video, if you don't know what I mean) — Steve G

If hip-hop is dead — as Nas seems to think —then how do we explain Chicago's Cool Kids? "Black Mags" is a bass-heavy BMX anthem with a b&w video that features Kids Chuck and Mikey riding with their b-boys down the city streets with a couple b-girls in tow. A few splashes of animation with some great direction and cinematography make this one of the hottest, yet simplest rap videos of the year. What's more remarkable is that it's the debut video outing from 23-year-old GL-Joe, who has been hanging with the Kids and filming hot parties for a few months. If this is the future of hip-hop, sign me up. (review by Kevin Holy) --> watch "Black Mags" and some Behind The Scenes action - part 1 / part 2
