NEW RELEASE: Damien Rice "9 Crimes"

don't let go Director Jamie Thraves pays tribute to the classic French art flick The Red Balloon in this video for this haunting piano ballad from Damien Rice and his frequent collaborator, singer Lisa Hannigan. Perhaps sensing that America's thirst for red balloons was sated by Nena, the "9 Crimes" video is apparently destined to skip the TV airwaves in the U.S. That's a small crime indeed, since it's a boldly strange and unconventional video. Thanks to that interweb, however, anybody can check out the sad fate of Hannigan's balloon head. And, we can all look forward to a video for "Rootless Tree," which is reportedly the next planned single off Rice's new album, 9. --> watch "9 Crimes" in Real or Windows Media
