Description: If you've been paying attention to the Video Static News category, you know that the ability to watch music videos on cellular phones is being touted as the next big thing. Well, how about using cell phones as a means of production? After all, many clell phones now have video cameras buitl into them. The Presidents Of The USA decided to test them out for their new video, "Some Postman." Save for some establishing shots that show the elaborate camera rig, this video was shot exclusively with the video cameras built into Sony Ericsson phones. Several of these lo res camera phones were affixed to a rig and the resulting footage was bluetoothed to a Mac and then constructed, jigsaw puzzle-like, into a video. Even with the cameras only being responsible for shooting small sections of the performance, there were still some major limitations. Not only were the cameras incapable of coming close to traditional broadcast quality, but the band had to perform the song at half-speed, since the devices couldn't capture the band's full-speed, energetic performance.
