NEW RELEASE: U2 & Green Day "The Saints Are Coming"

U2 and Green Day You've got U2, Green Day and a live Monday Night Football performance at the first event to be held at the Superdome since Hurricane Katrina. Add in rehearsal and recording studio footage of the two bands collaborating on this Skids cover tune — with a dollop of the folk classic "House Of The Rising Sun" thrown in for good measure — and you realize that director Chris Milk doesn't have to do much more than point a camera in the bands' direction to make this compelling. That's exactly what he does for the first half, until he takes things to the next level by utilizing a clever pretense to depict what should have been the government's response to the tragedy. --> watch "The Saints Are Coming"

ps: Money raised through the song will benefit Music Rising, a foundation created in part by U2's The Edge to help New Orleans musicians who lost instruments in the flood.
