NEW RELEASE: Wolf Parade "Shine A Light"

Sleep four-headed freak, sleepWolf Parade "Shine A Light" Sub Pop
Matt Muroz, director
Description: Wolf Parade collaborator Matt Muroz — he's done all of the band's artwork to date — gets a little, well, wacky with the video for "Shine A Light." The clip concerns the scorn faced by a man who has four heads stacked vertically, like a totem pole, atop his shoulders. He's barred from convenience stores, is a source of ridicule at work and even gets mugged. In an added twist, the heads sometimes fly off on their own to have adventures while he sleeps. They also multiply and buzz around the poor man's head when he laughs at a box of pumpkins that strikes him as another sort of multi-headed freak. The effect used to replicate the heads is wonderfully lo-fi and fake looking, which only amplifies the bizarre humor and absurdity of everything.
