The fake story of Major Lazer is that he is "a Jamaican commando who lost his arm in the
secret Zombie War of 1984." The real story is not quite as outlandish, of course. Major Lazer is a new musical collaboration between star DJ's/producers Diplo and Switch that mashes up dancehall, dub with whatever catches their fancy. This track features Mr. Lex and Santigold and a wallop of "Misirlou" guitar. The video is an ode to Saturday Morning Cartoon TV with illustrator/animator Ferry Gouw directing a tale in which the fake version of Major Lazer does battle against Zombies — that is, when the action is not interrupted by a commerical for its associated action figures.
