WATCH IT: N.A.S.A. "Money"

Nasa As President-elect Barack Obama assembles his dream team to deal with our economic woes, the DJ duo known as N.A.S.A. — aka Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon — have assembled their own diverse crew to discuss what people are really concerned about: "Money." The words and messages of David Byrne, Chuck D, Ras Congo, Seu Jorge and Z-Trip are the stars of this retro-styled animated video, which earns your attention with its use of graphics and art by Shephard Fairey [ed: not to mention the Horace Andy track "Money" that's the obvious source of this tune]. The song is an indictment of materialism and consumption and the blood money of war, with the phrase "Money is the root of all evil" as its hook. The old school iconography adds potency to this appropriate message in both times of boom and bust. [review by Craig Belcher] --> watch "Money"
