WATCH IT: Sleigh Bells "Rill Rill" (Jon Watts, dir.)

Sy_goo "I stole my sister's boyfriend. It was all whirlwind, heat, and flash. Within a week we killed my parents and hit the road." — from the Sonic Youth Goo album cover by artist Raymond Pettibone.

Sleigh Bells "Rill Rill" isn't a remake of that classic album cover, though I'd be willing to bet that influence was certainly floating around the subconcious. Singer Alexis Krauss busts out of school, hits the road with her partner-in-crime/bandmate Derek Miller and everything ends in death, destruction and no surrender, no remorse, no regrets. Not bad for a band's pop video. --> watch "Rill Rill"

By the way...  the back cover of Goo reads, "Nothing... Lipstick, a little blood" which also seems pretty appropriate here

--> watch "Rill Rill"
