Legendary album designer Storm Thorgerson has passed away; sad news which was confirmed by the act most closely associated with him, Pink Floyd.
Albums designed by Thorgerson and his Hipgnosis art collective include Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Here, Led Zeppelin's Houses Of The Holy and many other albums that would belong on any shortlist of "most iconic rock art images." More recent work includes covers for Muse and Audioslave.
He also directed many videos, including Pink Floyd "Learning To Fly" and Yes "Owner Of A Lonely Heart."
