The easiest way to get you to watch this video is by pointing out that it stars Shia LaBeouf in a roll with full-frontal nudity, rolling around with a similarly nude actress, but there's other more compelling reasons to click through. The video stems from a video experiment put forth from Sigur Ros to 14 directors: Each received a small budget and were instructed to create a video for a song off new album Vatari without any creative limitations: Whatever came into their head, should wind up on-screen.
Director Alma Har'el creates a beautifully surreal ballet of love and violence between Shia and actress/model Denna Thomsen, striking a tone that's somewhere between the classic "The End" scene from Apocalypse Now and something from Last Tango In Paris. Although the nudity will get the most clicks, there's a bunch of very disturbing moments that include mutilation and aggression, in addition to a very hallucinogenic sidebar that may or may not involve a car.
