WATCH IT: The Bigger Lights "Hey Summer"
What seems to be a basic post-coital moment is revealed to be something more sinister in this video for The Bigger Lights "Hey Summer." Director Bryan Reisberg lets the viewer in slowly, slowly as he reveals that band frontman Topher Talley and his femme fatale are actually a modern-day suburban versions of Bonnie & Clyde, but with a feminist slant (ie: She's got the gun in her garter). In fact, there are several allusions to the 1967 Beatty/Dunaway version of Bonnie & Clyde, including a pear scene that lets you know that things probably won't end happily for these two lovers/criminals.
