The obvious move would have been to shoot at the legendary Electric Lady Studios — and the stickier idea would have been to pay homage to the alternate NSFW Electric Ladyland album art — but Janelle Monae does not do the expected. Instead we get an homage to old-school HBC good times — but only after the business of showcasing what looks like a horribly clunky watch/phone/camera thingamajig — by visiting her faux sorority, Electro Phi Beta where we get stepping and dancing with a crowd that includes T.I.
