NEWS: MTV VMA 05 Nominees Announced

MTV announced the nominees today for the 2005 Video Music Awards. Green Day leads the pack with eight nominations, while Gwen Stefani and Missy Elliott had six nods apiece. Directors with multiple nominations include Dave Meyers, Paul Hunter, Alex & Martin, Marc Webb, Samuel Bayer and Sophie Muller. P. Diddy has been confirmed as host for the festivities and performers will include Green Day, Kelly Clarkson and Kanye West. The Awards will be held Sunday, August 28 in Miami.
