WATCH IT: The Roots "Dear God 2.0" (Jason Goldwatch, dir.)

Roots rapper Black Thought is at the drivers seat of a taxi cab, having a bad night. And it just got worse. But so long as it's not the worst case possible, life goes on. Director Jason Goldwatch captures all the pathos and even that final moment of surrender and relief as a steady stream of characters get on and off the ride. One passenger especially of note: Jim James, who wrote and performed the 1.0 version of "Dear God" with his indie superground Monsters Of Folk. --> watch "Dear God 2.0"

WATCH IT: Interpol "Lights" (Charlie White, dir.)

Hard to figure out what to say about this new Interpol video — I was gonna go with a sorority initiation joke —  so it's much appreciated that it came with a lengthy description from artist/director Charlie White. (see below; as always I think it's best if you watch the video first) If you're an Interpol or music videos, you're probably familiar with his last and only other proper music video "Evil", which was also done for Interpol.
