Mark Knight "Your Love" (halcyon, dir.)

Mark Knight - Your Love (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

"We wanted to make something dark and immersive that kept with the underground feel of the track whilst exploring the idea of DJs with cult status"

Toolroom label boss Mark Knight teams up with halcyon – Jack Pirie and Alex Hylands-White – for the promo to Your Love.

The directing duo marry the filtered synth-driven club stormer with a trippy, largely slow-mo promo, peppered with cool lighting FX and some creepy unease provided by the masked revellers…

Thee Oh Sees "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster" (John Strong, dir.)

Thee Oh Sees - "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster"(Official Music Video)

There's a certain violence implicit in the song title "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster," but nothing on the level of what happens in this video about how murder is kind of like Lay's Potato Chips: You can't stop at one.  [SG]

Muse "Panic Station" (Tim Qualtrough, dir.)

Panic Station (Official Video)

If Muse has always struck you as oh so serious, this new video for "Panic Station" may come as a shock. The behind-the-scenes intro (and outro) confirm that this is meant to be silly, which indeed it is: Crazy costumes, dancing through the streets of Tokyo, characters that could have been pulled straight from Kaiju Big Battel or Yo Gabba Gabba... This is Muse getting the sillies out.

The Satellite Year "A Campus: A Heart: A Star" (Thorsten Hary, dir.)

The Satellite Year "A Campus, A Heart, A Star"

All shot on greenscreen in a conference room, the promo for "A Campus, A Heart, A Star" reteams the band with commercial director (and helmer of the bands previous effort "Jelly,Jelly…" ) Thorsten Hary, once again handling all directing, camera and postproduction work.

The performances, shot on a Canon 5D & C300, underwent 10 weeks of postproduction adding digital environments and animated elements.  A Campus, A Heart, A Star is premiered at European Revision Computer Arts Festival Easter weekend.

R.I.P. Chrissy Amphlett, Divinyls

Australian dup Divynls were a one-hit-wonder here in the States, but what a hit...

The 1991 smash "I Touch Myself," about as direct a song can be about masturbation while still getting airplay. And driving the point home (so to speak) was the video, directed by Michael Bay, reportedly on-location in an nunnery.

Singer Chrissy Amphlett passed away in her adopted NYC hometown yesterday from Breast Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. She was 53.
