Description: Director Matt McDermitt uses both a little fire and ice to illustrate pop songstress Anna Nalick's tale of love gone bad in the video for "In The Rough." After merely dreaming of a break for freedom through an open window, Nalick finally acts on the impulse by standing up to her abusive man and then leaving him for good. The aforementioned fire rages behind Nalick as her anger gets worked up, while the freezing air that escapes from the ice box probably illustrates the steely cold emotions she summons up in order to erase their love letters from her memory.
