The nominations for the 48th annual Grammy Awards were announced this morning, December 8, in NYC.
The Grammys will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8 – 11:30pm (EST). Photographer/director David LaChapelle has been selected as the official artist of this year's Grammy awards. His photograph (seen at left) will serve as the event's official image and will appear on promotional posters and the program book. LaChapelle's videography includes clips for Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, No Doubt, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John and Moby. He also directed the acclaimed feature film Rize.
