Since Sheryl Crow already recreated the classic Bullitt car chase for her own "Steve McQueen" video, and recreating The Towering Inferno is probably beyond most modern video budgets, director Paul Minor instead places The Automatic in a situation that required the tough-as-nails essence of this song's inspiration. Shot out among the sharp edges of the great Mojave airplane boneyard, the Automatic brave a harsh desert atmosphere highlighted by loose snakes (from a plane?) and a swirling sandstorm. --> watch "Steve McQueen"
