Is it safe? Heck no. This careening, totally psychotic video for Hatebreed's reverential cover of the Slayer classic "Ghosts Of War" runs the risk of inflicting all kinds of damage on the viewer. Director Kevin Custer unleashes more than enough flashes, rapid fire cuts and swirly morph effects to cause seizures, if not total madness among impressionable viewers, while capturing the intensity of Hatebreed's performance with up-close camerawork. And since that's clearly not enough: Custer works in a horror storyline based on Marathon Man's epic tooth torture scene. If this version of the sadistic, ex-Nazi Dr. Szell looks a whole lot like Dick Cheney, well, I'm pretty sure it's not a coincidence. --> watch "Ghosts of War" (Quicktime)
