"Move" is proof that the visually daring tricks that director Keith Schofield unleashes for alternative acts like The BPA and Minus The Bear can also be corralled to work for a much more mainstream artist like Mims, who seems itchy to move to a cooler (or, to be more exact: Cool Kids) zone and escape the one hip-hop hit wonder tag. Schofield keeps things appropriately kinetic in the video, capturing Mims as he glides against a slipstream of bodies that flip and move past the camera at varying speeds. It reminds me a bit of the Spike Jonze video for Pharcyde "Drop," in terms of the movements and especially how it's utterly confident. And that is why director Keith Schofield is hot. --> watch "Move (If You Wanna)" (Quicktime)
