Much like Stephenie Meyer maps out a the difficulties of teenage love —and especially the logistics of a relationship between a mortal and a vampire — in her popular young adult novel series Twilight, this first music video to spring from her mind is also a meditation on a love that cannot easily be requited (or consummated). Meyer collaborates with director Noble Jones on a fable that has Jack's Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon falling deeper in love with an unobtainable mermaid.

The entire subgenre of "chicks with picks" owe a debt of gratitude to The Runaways. Best known now as the original band for Joan Jett and Lita Ford, the short-lived band from the late '70s was one of the first all-girl groups with a punk attitude and sound to break through (and then, a break-up that included lots and lots of drama with manager Kim Fowley, a legendary rock svengali who takes credit for coming up with the concept of a jailbait in lingerie rock band).
Another rough day on a music video set. Sire Records signing Meaghan Smith and Revolver Film Co director Roboshobo on-location in New Jersey for her debut video shoot. Roboshobo directed four videos in total for Smith: "A Little Love," "I Know," "Poor" and "Drifted Apart."
A grand slam of videos for director Roboshobo and Canadian newcomer Meaghan Smith...

Feist returned to her old Calgary stomping grounds to not appear in, but rather record the making of an elaborated video for "Honey Honey," directed by Anthony Seck and featuring the work of Calgary's Old Trout Puppet Workshop. And, since Feist is officially the most famous person from Calgary (sorry Elisha Cuthbert), there's a lengthy Calgary Herald article about the local "Honey Honey" shoot.
