Directing duo LAMAR+NIK is clearly into actual cut and paste. Their "Magnolia" video was typofied by 3D cardboard cut-outs, and now they've marshalled nearly 4,000 printed and hand-cut video frames to create Samantha Crain's "Never Going Back." And to make it even more complex, it's a one-take animation effect: They set each frame up like a row of dominoes and then chased the paper wave on one long shot as it was sent cascading.
