Although that sounds like a typical day in the life of starlet, directors Dori Oskowitz and Paul Hunter go for a look that's more Beyond Thunderdome than anything retro/kitschy, and the powder in question is a multi-colored sort of stardust that exists at the core of everyone in the video. Bonus points: The song itself interpolates "There's A Place In France", which lead me to wiki it and learn that there are even more inappropriate variations to the lyrics I knew growing up. song.
