WATCH IT: Eminem/Rihanna "Love The Way You Lie" (Joseph Kahn, dir.)

As if Eminem and Rihanna together wasn't enough star power for a music video, you also get Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan as the two attracting/opposing forces in a literally combustible relationship. Director Joseph Kahn oversees all this hotness, capturing the two lovers as they run very hot and very cold on their way to an incendiary finish. In a word: Hot. --> watch "Love The Way You Lie"

WATCH IT: Shinedown "The Crow & The Butterfly" (Hannah Lux Davis, dir.)

Director Hannah Lux Davis conjures up a Baroque Ballroom Dancing fantasia in this video for "The Crow And The Butterfly". Shinedown serves as the house band of sorts for first a rehearsal dinner and then a full-on soiree where the lead character desperately tries to come to grips with her grief over a tragedy that's as enigmatic as the song title. --> watch "The Crow And The Butterfly"

WATCH IT: Chromeo "Don't Turn The Lights On" (Keith Schofield, dir.)

Director Keith Schofield takes the TV/animation concept of "By The Lights Of Their Eyes," in which characters eyes (and sometimes teeth) are always visible when it's pitch black to some absurd extremes in this new Chromeo video. When the lights go out, the eyes light up in a variety of maniacal stares; When the lights come back on, we're confronted with something unexpected, to say the least. The gags get increasingly elaborate as the song progresses, culminating in a literally eye-popping (sorry) L.A. walkabout. --> watch "Don't Turn The Lights On"

2010: MTV VMA Nominees

MTV announced the 2010 MTV Video Music Award Nominees today. As expected, it's all about Lady Gaga with a record breaking 13 nominations and, in a rare feat, both "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" are nominated in the Video of The Year category. Other Video of the Year nominees are: 30 Seconds To Mars "Kings and Queens", B.o.B. f/ Haley Williams "Airplanes", Eminem "Not Afraid", and Florence + The Machine "Dog Days Are Over", which is the other big story of the 2010 VMA nominees.

WATCH IT: Kaskade f/ Dragonette "Fire..." (Chic + Artistic, dir.)

Directing team Chic and Artistic deliver something, well, chic and artistic for DJ/producer Kaskade and Dragonette singer Martina Sorbara. Set up as a photo shoot, Kaskade works the camera while Martina poses and vamps — often in reverse — while also displaying a pair of sparkler pumps that I hope become the stripper stiletto of choice.) --> watch "Fire In Your New Shoes"
