BACK AGAIN: Alex Clare "Too Close" (Keith Rivers, dir.)

This recently released video isn't really a 'Behind the Scenes' clip as indicated in theembed title — unless they mean it happens backstage at a concert — but it does give us a behind the scenes glimpse into what happens when a song takes off in a way that is pure Music Biz 2012. There has been a lot of focus on viral videos of late, but the financial impact 'internet buzz' can have is still not 100% clear. What does make a song explode, and the artist some money, is getting said song on television. Lots and lots of televisions.

Paris Hilton To Be In New South Korean Music Video

Paris Hilton — no stranger to videos, music or otherwise —reportedly netted $1 million dollars for a starring role in a video for South Korean pop star Kim Jang Hoon.

Video was shot over two days in Malibu in both 3D and 2D versions with director Ted Kenney, who has also overseen 3D productions for Britney Spears, Katy Perry and U2.

More details, including pics and a quote about why Hoon's team chose Paris over Scarlett Johanson and Jessica Alba can be found at celeb gossip site x17online.com

RIP Chris Lighty

Sad news... Hip-Hop manager Chris Lighty was found dead today at his home in The Bronx, NY, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lighty's talent roster at his Violator Management management firm was consistently a who's who of hip-hop stars: 50 Cent, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott, Soulja Boy and way too many more to name here.

If you've worked on hip-hop videos than you've probably had some contact with the man. And a search on Twitter confirms how much he'll be missed by those who knew and knew of him.

WATCH IT: Yeasayer "Longevity" (Timothy Saccenti, dir.)

I've heard of recording sessions taking forever, but there's definitely some sort of time paradox at work in this Yeasayer video, aging the band well past their freshness date. --> watch "Longevity
