Mariah Carey f/ Miguel "Beautiful" Premiering This Week (Joseph Kahn, dir.)

MARIAH. MIGUEL. #BEAUTIFUL. 5.06.13

Maybe Mariah hasn't been getting her respect on American Idol, but what better platform could there be to set up her comeback? The Diva will look to put the show to work for her this week, with new video "Beautiful" set for a premiere during Wednesday night's episode.

The video is directed by Joseph Kahn; Miguel is the featured guest. And based on the trailer for it, the video will live up to the song title.

DAX "A E I O U" (DAX, dir.)

A E I O U - DAX

Solo artist, DAX, based in NY, releases music video for his first dance punk single "AEIOU". The song tells the story of a guy who takes home a girl he just met, resulting in a mind-blowing aural sexual explosion. The experience is so tantric that the two arent even speaking words anymore. But what happens when all this good fun goes wrong? The music video, more like a short film, coming in at 10 minutes, brings the song to life by seeing the story from the point of view of two detectives whose work and personal lives have come to a lifeless phase.

Lionel Richie "All Night Long" (Bob Rafelson, dir.)

On the resume of renegade producer/director and Monkees' co-creator Bob Rafelson, you'll find some of the more edgy films of the 1970s "Young Hollywood" era: Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, Stay Hungry, The King of Marvin Gardens, and more. He also helmed the Monkees' career-threatening acid-freakout film Head, which Rafelson has described as the godfather of the modern music video.
