MVPA Awards Submission Deadline is March 31

REMINDER: Submissions for the relaunch of the MVPA Awards are due by March 31... See below for full details!

The  MVPA Music Video Production Association — representing production companies and directors, plus freelance workers and other music video related companies — announce the return of their MVPA Music Video Awards, scheduled for June 1 in Los Angeles.

Members and non-members are welcome to participate in the Awards. Non-members can join the MVPA or just sign-on as an event sponsor at mvpa.com/members under the following fee structure:

WATCH IT: The Pretty Reckless "My Medicine" (Meiert Avis, dir.)

Former Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen makes sure you get the point that she's a rocker now: Smoking? Check. Porn star in the video? Check. All sorts of insinuations of inebriations and sexual indiscretions? You bet. Safe for work? Probably not. Time for the rock 'n' roll doubters to start taking Ms. Momsen and The Pretty Reckless seriously? I hope so, since there's not much further she can push the envelope without becoming Wendy O. Williams. --> watch "My Medicine"

WATCH IT: Katy Perry "Part of Me" (Ben Mor, dir.)

America's sweetheart, Katy Perry, opens her newest video discovering her man is cheating on her (sorry, no Aldous Snow cameo). Like Private Benjamin before her, our heroine decides that signing up for the military is the logical next step. Even though her journey starts with a semi GI Jane-ish haircut, Katy's training never looks as grimy or vicious as what Demi had to put up with.
