SHOT: The Notorious B.I.G. - Dr. Teeth, director

Performance footage in a studio and in front of an audience is mixed with archival footage of the late Notorious B.I.G. in addition to imagery of a throne, crown and scepter that represents the rapper's brief, yet influential reign.

NEWS: Sanaa Hamri Feature Film Opens

Sanaa Hamri's feature film directorial debut Something New, had a very respectable opening over the Super Bowl weekend, grossing $5 on just over 1,200 screens. Hamri — who is signed with Anonymous Content and represented by Robin Frank — has directed music videos for Prince, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Jadakiss and many other r&b/rap stars.

Other music video directors with films slated for release in 2006 include Chris Robinson with ATL and Michel Gondry with The Science Of Sleep and the Dave Chappelle concert extravaganza Block Party.

NEWS: Murder at Busta Rhymes Video Shoot

A video shoot for a remix of Busta Rhymes "Touch It" was seriously disrupted by gunfire that resulted in the death of the rapper's 29 year old bodyguard Israel Ramirez. The AK-47 used in the shooting was discovered near the scene, but no arrests have yet been made.

The production took place in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn and  rappers on location for cameos included Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Missy Elliott.
