Sanaa Hamri's feature film directorial debut Something New, had a very respectable opening over the Super Bowl weekend, grossing $5 on just over 1,200 screens. Hamri — who is signed with Anonymous Content and represented by Robin Frank — has directed music videos for Prince, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Jadakiss and many other r&b/rap stars.

Other music video directors with films slated for release in 2006 include Chris Robinson with ATL and Michel Gondry with The Science Of Sleep and the Dave Chappelle concert extravaganza Block Party.

This performance video will use a visual treatment in which each frame is scanned and photocopied to give it a vintage '70s look. And, as befits any song titled "Woman," there will be lots of dancing chicks.
