WATCH IT: Passion Pit "Sleepyhead" (old/new version)

Circles, hands, heads, beats and beards. This previously unreleased video for the Passion Pit indie hit "Sleepyhead" — which predates the official stop motion "Sleepyhead" video by a couple years — is a simple and fun that would probably fit just as easily into a childrens TV as it would in a hipster's video collection. And to be clear: The fact that it leaked with or without the band's consent who either did or didn't reject this video is something that may or may not influence your impression of the song and or video. Cool?

WATCH IT: Spoon "Written In Reverse"

Celebrated rock photographer/director Danny Clinch captures a loose, in-studio performance by Spoon in this simple, yet beautifully shot b&w video. The only bits of trickery involve mirrors, a motif that obviously relates to the song title for "Written In Reverse," but also results in some disorienting shots of the band and their reflected doubles. --> watch "Written In Reverse" (via PitchforkTV)

WATCH IT: Billy Talent "Saint Veronika"

"Saint Veronika" is a rag doll girl seeking an escape from her rag dog home before she unravels into the dogma that's got the rest of her rag doll family under wraps. It's a creepy video — as they usually are when Michael Maxxis is directing — but it's a smooth fit with the lyrics and message of this Billy Talent song. --> watch "Saint Veronika" plus a Making-Of featurette

WATCH IT: AFI "Beatiful Thieves"

The brooding post-goths of AFI look upon the cokewhoredouchebags at a posh, debaucherous party with equal amounts of interest and disdain. That said, anyone with even an ounce of curiosity would Google the word "Venemum" emblazoned on singer Davey Havoc's flask and realize real quick that they probably won't be tempted to join in on the coke-fueled orgy. --> watch "Beautiful Thieves"
