TV PARTY RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, 10/4

A confluence of factors have forced us to reschedule the music video mixer/party/screening for next Monday, October 4...

Again, tomorrow night's event has been postponed until next Monday, October 4. Same location, Same time.

  • WHERE: Sweet & Vicious, 5 Spring Street
  • WHEN: MONDAY, October 4, 8p thru 11:30

WATCH IT: Steriogram "Moving On" (Ryan Reichenfeld, dir.)

It took 15 days of shooting and over 50 stunt men wearing low-budget Steriogram maskes to pull off all the crazy stuff in this video. Things get increasingly dangerous over the course of the video — basketball dunks lead to skateboarding jumps lead to parkour lead to cliff diving lead to fire and guns — so even if you start out feeling confident, please don't try any of this at home. --> watch "Moving On"

WATCH IT: Foals "2 Trees" (Adam Bizanski, dir.)

Singalong Paul is a puppet. He loves music, all types, and has posted lip-sync tribute videos to songs by Alan Arkin and Radiohead. Now he's made an official video for Foals and it's clearly a dream-like opportunity, even if it's only an actual dream. Either way, it's another charming creation from the mind of Adam Bizanski, an Israeli director/animator who knows a thing or two about dreams. (PS: Flat Eric?

WATCH IT: Lakairomania Skate Video (Ty Evans, dir.)

Not music videos, per se, but videos set to music. Skate and Create is a video/photo competition sponsored by Transworld skateboard magazine: Select skate shoe companies are challenged to produce the best skating video, with each company given the same warehouse, ramps and various other constraints. This video from  Lakai is especially notable, not only because Spike Jonze is the executive producer, but also because it won the 2010 contest.
