Coldplay "Magic" (Jonas Akerlund, dir.)

Playing out unrequited love through passive-aggressive magical acts is one thing — Coldplay singer Chris Martin best hope that Crouching Tiger actress Ziyi Zheng keeps those knife throws straight and true — but learning to levitate as a means to woo your love interest away from her controlling master is truly next level. Call it carnies in love, call it old time silent movie magic: Either way it's some mad pick-up artist skills on display.

Eminem "Headlights" (Spike Lee, dir.)

Either Spike Lee is just a really big Eminem who's willing to pay a visit to the Detroit set of the rapper's "Headlights" video — during Knicks season, no less — or he's directing the video.

Bet on option two.

This, of course, wouldn't be the film director's first video — we've previously recapped his work, especially the Do The Right Thing tie-in video for Public Enemy "Fight The Power" — but it's been a long time since he came back to the short form.

Also, can we consider this a Big K.R.I.T. diss?

Rituel "Nirvana Dance" (Bruno Fontana, dir.)

The video tells a love story inside the Indian community in Paris. After a poetic fight during which he receives support from Rama, the mythical king, Tashi manages to touch the heart of the beautiful Mia.

A few words from the director: “When I first listened to Nirvana Dance, I was immediately captivated by the Indian, spiritual atmosphere of the song. It felt obvious to relate a love story impregnated with Indian references. That’s why I imagined this modern romance, on a background of Hindu legends and passion for cricket.”
