The news is full of stories about how super-manly Russia is and they don't like anything that even hints of gayness - especially at the upcoming Winter Olympics. Not sure how that fits with the stardom of Filip Kirkorov - a very, umm, flamboyant performer with a whole shelf of awesome music videos. Kirkorov has been a star in Russia for years but no one in Moscow seems to think there is the slightest thing gay about his performing style and wardrobe choices — kind of like Liberace in 1950s America. Maybe in a few years we'll have an HBO movie about Kirkorov where Matt Damon gets to wear some fabulous outfits – and (fingers crossed) they'll make soundtrack music videos.
